January 2022

I would like to thank everyone that has supported Ocean Rambler the last two years though this pandemic.

January has started of with a bang!
Excellent winter Chinook fishing and crabbing is what is going on in Victoria right now!
We landed an 18 pound Chinook this week!
That is a great fish for this time of year!
The limit is 2 chinooks per angler.
I will be running salmon and crabbing trips out of Oak Bay marina from now until June.
Halibut should open in March. Dfo dependent.

Ucluelet is booking up fast June 15th though September 15th.
Bookings are now available, book early for prime time dates.
If I don’t have morning trips available for your travel dates I will offer afternoon trips though out the summer.

Tuna trips start the end of August and run through September!

I am looking forward to another busy season on the Ocean Rambler!
FISH ON!

Call me with any questions you may have.

Summer 2021

I would like to start by saying thank you to everyone that has supported Ocean Rambler through this pandemic!I have spent the last two years rebuilding and improving my Vessel, the 28 foot Bertram sport fishing yacht,Ocean Rambler. It is June already and the travel restrictions are starting to lift, I should have been in full swing fishing mode but it’s been a slow start .

On June 27th I head to Ucluelet for my 19th summer! Wow time flies when you are having fun!I only have a few morning trips left for July and August but I am available for afternoon trips most days.
I am excited to announce that I am staying in Ucluelet to chase albacore tuna all of September!

If you have never caught a tuna this is a must for every fisherman!

I am looking forward to seeing all of you this summer.

Cheers

Capt. Steve
